There is this program through a doctor where I live. You are prescribed phentermine, you get a b-12 shot, and vitamins for a month supply. I did it for a month for motivation because my workouts were boring and even though I was eating rather healthy, I wasn't seeing the results I wanted to see. Many people do the program for 2 or 3 months. The doctor recommends at least 3 months so they can, as they said, "ween" you off the drugs. HAHA! What a lame way to say they just want more money. I guess maybe some people actually do get addicted to it. In all honesty, I know it's bad for you and that's why I only did it a month. Long-term use could cause heart problems and other problems. It is, simply stated, speed. You lose weight because it is an appetite suppressant and it makes your heart rate CONSTANTLY go fast. This is what happens when you workout, your heart rate speeds up. So therefore, it's like you're exercising all day, but it's still not good for you. The program I did only allowed you to have 1200 good calories a day. But I do know people who didn't work out or eat that great, just smaller portions, while they were on the drugs and still lost weight. The more overweight you are, the more weight you will lose in the first 2 or 3 weeks. After that, your body will get used to the drug and it isn't as much weight loss. Phentermine shouldn't be used for a "quick fix" and in order to keep the weight off after you get off the pills, you should continue to eat right and exercise...otherwise all the weight will come back. I was by far, overweight or even chunky when I did it, I just needed help to get the toned look I was trying to achieve. Now, I workout 2 and a half hours a day, 6 days a week, weight lifting included. I don't go by what the scale says because muscle weighs more than fat. I went by my pants size. By the end of the second week, without exercise, I lost 8 pounds. The next two weeks I lost 4 pounds all together. So in total I lost 12 pounds in a month. I went down two sizes in my pants. |

It's actually the same. Phentermine HCl is the complete name of the drug. Some brand names of Phentermine HCl are Ionamin, Adipex-P & Obe-Nix 30. You can visit this site and compare prices before buying anything. You can also visit the forum and discuss about medications. http://www.pharmacyreviewer.co m/?q=phentermine |

I have taken them both and they only work for a short time. It is better if you can loose weight without the side effects of these medicines. If you cut back on junk food and cut down on high fat foods. Eat plenty of vegetables and lean protein and get exercise. Just get moving. Walk, Dance, do some gardening. You'll get there. Not overnight, but you didn't gain it overnight either. God Bless You, ;-) |
