How to connect multiple I have been presented with a
challenge at work to see if I
can connect 6 large monitors
in different locations of a
building to display specific
functions for each of the
monitors running on one
computer. Is this even
possible? If one of the
monitor is located about 50
feet and the other monitor is
180 feet and another one is
locate 200 feet and lets say
another about 65 feet to the
opposite direction, is it even
possible to do all of these on
one computer?

Yeah, it is... Here is a great example, Anchorage International Airport has their LCD screens set every 50 feet or so, and they are all controlled through wireless. (Signal loss on a 100 foot monitor cable would be exponential.) Here is a great little piece of hardware to make that happen... http://www.connectivity.avocen t.com/products/longview-wirele ss/ When we set up the TV's at our lodge, we did the same thing. One computer with a cable TV connector, and 5 TV's throughout the lodge, no wiring, one computer, multiple channels. Anyhow, thats your best bet... Hope this helps. |

What causes computer monitors After a couple days of having
the monitor plugged in it goes
out. The computer also crashes
ever once in awhile. It feels
like the power supply is real
hot. Could this be the source
of the problem or is there
something else that could be
the problem. Monitor went out,
bought replacement and the it
went out after a few days.
Don't want to buy another one
til I know that I've fixed the
problem that causes the
monitors to go out.

it could be faulty wireing, but unlike tvs, most people not even knowing it leave moniters on allllllllllllllllll day and all night....ifs its in screen saver, its not off |

How many monitors can nvidia I currently have one
additional monitors hooked up

says it supports "multiple
monitors", but does that mean
two or more than two?
