Am I eligible to attendUniversity of Florida, underin-state tuition?
Okay, My Legal Resident is in Florida, and I've lived in Germany all my life so far. Next year I'm moving back to the states, but not to Florida. Am I still eligible to attend the University of Florida under in-state tuition although I have not ever lived in the state?, is my question.
I'm a student there and I know people who have never lived in the state and still get in state tuition because someone in there family claims them as a dependent Do your parents still have a up to date driver's license or voter registration? If your parents have maintained their residency in Florida and have the documentation to support it then you would get in-state tuition. Or you can see if you fall under on the exceptions http://www.admissions.ufl.edu/ residency/exception.html
I am applying to theUniversity of Oregon viatransfer student. How do theyget my transcripts?
I am submitting an online application to transfer to University of Oregon, and they need my high school and college transcripts. How do they get them? Do I complete my application online, then contact my community college and high school and have them mail the transcripts to the admissions office at U of O?
I'm transferring there too! Transcripts can be sent many different ways. You can call your high school, meet with a counselor or go into the school's office if you live nearby to get those. College transcripts can be requested online or through the phone. If you are still a student there, you should have an online mail/campusweb site you can go on. Search "(your college name) transcript request" to figure out the best way. Make sure you fill out the application first and soon, if its not too late. I came from a cc and went into registration, filled out a form with the UO admissions address and they sent it in, really simple. This might help: http://registrar.uoregon.edu/c urrent_students/transfer-artic ulation/faq I wonder why you need your high school transcript? Are you under a certain amount of credits?
Is University of Phoenix agood school to attend if I amtrying to become a teacher?
I just acquired my high school diploma and I am interested in attending University of Phoenix. When I however filled out the application on line it said that my class was not available for campus classes only online. My ex whom works in college admissions in Jacksonville, Florida advised me to take classes to receive my associates degree. Will this affect me becoming a teacher or will it benefit me? And is the any other college I could maybe consider? Please Help!
If you are truly interested in becoming a teacher, University of Phoenix is a terrible idea. The U of P is a for-profit business, not an institution of higher education. Their representatives will try very hard to recruit you in order to get your money. Their instructors are underqualified, and students are routinely given high grades even if their work is poor, just so the U of P can continue to receive their financial aid. Do yourself a HUGE favor and avoid the U of P. Instead, you should earn a bachelor's degree in education at a state college. This is because each state has specific requirements in order for students to earn teaching certification in that state. State colleges are cheapest, and have the strongest education programs for prospective teachers. These programs will also include student teaching, which is a requirement for certification in most states. If you cannot gain admission to a state college in your area, then you could definitely begin by taking classes at a local community college. After you finish there, if your grades were good, and your teachers recommend you, you can then transfer to a state college. I wish you every success. The world needs good teachers!
