Divorcing?
I'm thirteen and i live in
texas and my parents are
getting divorced. we have to
go to court on wednesday and i
dont know whether to stay with
my mom or dad because they're
all like pick me! its so hard
and i was just wondering, when
i go to court will i have to
say who i want to stay with in
FRONT of my parents or can i
go talk privately w/ the judge
or will the judge pick for me?

Its ultimately your decision. Unless one of your parents isn't stable to keep you. It's going to be hard, but you have to pick. There's no point in telling the judge, cause he's going to tell your parents. Just talk to your parents one on one and explain to them that you don't want to hurt their feelings if you go with the other parent. They should understand and will love you no matter who you chose to go with. |

What is the quickest way to I have been married 24 years
and I'm currently in the
beginning stages of a divorce.
My husband was the one paying
all the billls cause I'm a
full-time student. Now since
we're divorcing, I need to
find a job so I can try and
pay my bills on time. I just
want to know is there anything
else I can do in the mean
time. Cause I also have to get
my own place and most likely,
where ever I want to live,
they will want to do a credit
check. Any information will be
greatly appreciated

The main thing you need 2 consider yourself with is do you have any joint credit accounts such as credit cards or installment loans like car payments or a home mortgage. If your husband wants to ruin your credit for the next 7 years and beyond he easily can IF HE WANTS TO ! ! ! out of spite. If that's a possibility you have to talk to a good lawyer. If YOU KNOW that isn't a possibility then I recommend you read the free credit 101 guide at creditme.com lol |

Would divorcing your husband if you are a permanent
resident who came to america
by way of your husband's
petition would divorcing him
affect your permanent resident
status in any way? the husband
is already a us citizen and so
are the children

Yes it does. I am going through the same situation. I am a citizen and my (soon to be ex) wife is Filipino. The rules are simple. You MUST be married for 3 years. You can file for divorce before the three years but you can not get divorced before. If you do, your status will change and you will have to go back |
