How many courses (dishes) is a So, strange question you might
think, but I've been wondering
about this for a while.
I do not mean how many courses
you have at home, but how many
is considered typical ?
Is it two, like the main
course and the dessert or
three like the starter, the
main course and the dessert or
just one or how many ?
How many course change is
considered traditional ?
Thanks.

You must understand that the typical American home today could be Indian, Mexican, Korean, Chinese, Cuban.... This really is a melting pot & American cuisine is a wonderful combination of different foods from all over the world. It is possible to have Indian, Japanese & Middle Eastern dishes on the same table! I am not sure what typical means but traditionally an average American meal was usually a soup or salad course, bread, a main course with 1-2 sides and dessert. |

Anatomy and physiology will be very helpful if you plan on attending a massage school. Also, a basic psychology class if it's offered at your high school. Massage schools range from 9 months to 3 years, depending on where you live. Some schools are in a college type setting and others are less formal. |

I would say that your best bet is to take any courses that you can that will give you college credit. At my high school, that meant taking AP classes (advanced placement), or a couple of other classes where the school had agreements with local colleges. In my state (NC) there is also something called "dual enrollment" where you can attend a local community college for free (except for the cost of books) while you are still in high school. My last year I only had to go to school for 1/2 a day, and went to the local CC the other half (it was great!). To particularly get you prepped for nursing, I would say to take Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, and health sciences courses that your school offers. Good luck! |
