Airline Travel?
I have some friends that live in Ireland. I really want them to travel over, but they are 15, 13 and 11. Does anyone know what airline companies will let them on without an adult? We were planning for them to come on British Airways, and Aer Lingus, but one company lets them on and another doesn't! Please help me!
The previous answers may be correct, but they don't address one important item. You don't say where you are, but this sounds like your friends will be traveling to another country. Every country sets its own laws for entry and some have special restrictions for minors traveling alone or with only one parent. In addition to checking with airlines, your friends need to contact the embassy or nearest consulate for the country that they are visiting. If there are special requirements, and your friends don't comply with them, then the airline will refuse to let them board the aircraft. There may be more to this than just the airline's policy.
Which airline is best to gowith if I want to travel tothe Philippiness. Any infoavailable, let me know?
I want to take a trip to the Philippiness to go see my girlfriend in Cotabato City. Which airline/travel agency is best to go with if I am planning to go in March. What does one need to go over there if I am from U.S.A. Any information is greatly appreciated.
1. Passport - Don't need a visa unless you plan to stay >21 days 2. Money - Prices are extremely reasonable but you still need money for unexpected stuff. 3. After your airline ticket is punched and you're about to exit the airport to get on the plane, you'll have to pay the airport tax, so have some loose change in your pocket. It can range from 5,000 pesos in Manila to about 100 pesos in CdO. I made my own reservations w/o travel agency help. I searched all the online travel sites until I got a good price. I made 3 trips. I remember Delta & Philippine Airlines the first trip, then JAL from Tokyo to Manila the 2nd trip. The last trip was Continental going, and Northwest coming back. You need to know that you don't get even close to the airport without a ticket, so don't expect gf to be waiting when you get off. In fact, even the Manila airport closes overnight, so you need to be aware of what time you can arrive and expect to enter the terminal. I had to sleep outside on a bench at the international terminal waiting for it to open. ALWAYS take an airport taxi - it's cheaper and safer. They have a desk INSIDE the airport adjacent to the baggage area where you get a taxi ticket. They are most reasonable and your trip is tracked. Plus, you pay in advance so you don't get ripped off. ( A tip I learned from a Malay gentleman I met on the plane). Lastly, you picked the worst area of Philippines to visit. It is predominantly Muslim area there, and there's a war going on in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. My best advice is the check all the travel advisories before you commit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A utonomous_Region_in_Muslim_Min danao In any case, good luck and let me know if you have any questions.
Where can I find statistics onInternational Airline Travel?
I am writing a paper that relates to international airline travel and I am looking for some statistics. Looking for stats relating to the number of people who travel and how much money the industry brings in etc...
IATA has traffic information regularly. "Analysis of how the industry has performed in terms of traffic and utilisation during the most recent month." TIA has a number of major programs dedicated to forecasting travel volume and trends. or the Bureau of Transportation has stats on international flights.

Try offseason, mid week, late night. Best deals are available then.
Cheers

when is the best time to purchase an airline ticket, for the most reasonable price? Is it cheaper to purchase a ticket on the week-end or during the week? Morning or late night?
