Has anyone familiar with Here is part of his entry for
November 16, 1806. This was in
the middle of what would later
become Colorado, just after
the discovery of Pike's Peak:

large camp which had been
occupied by at least 3000
Indians with a large cross in
the middle. Are these people
Catholic?"
I found that a little
humorous.
