Stripping Finish From Wooden I've built a model of a
Chris-Craft barrel-back
cruiser: the wood part turned
out just fine, but I don't
like the finish. I want to
strip it off and start the
finish over. I was going to
use lacquer thinner, but will
this affect the glue? The
model is put together with
super glue. I know that
acetone will dissolve super
glue, but what about lacquer
thinner? Or is there something
better that won't hurt the
glue? Thanks for any advice
out there!!

i had a similar problem with a billing boats kit.tried various ways to clear an uneven finish but ended up using flour paper to clean back to the wood.flour paper is like sandpaper but as the name implies it's extremely fine and gives a very smooth finish.it can take quite a long time but it's worth it |

I am looking for an LST made from wood that I could use with other display items or an extremely good quality plastic model.
