...A video game or interactive entertainment is an electronic game that involves interaction with a user interface to generate visual feedback on a video device. The word video in video game traditionally referred to a raster display device. However, with the popular use of the term "video game", it now implies any type of display device. The electronic systems used to play video games are known as platforms; examples of these are personal computers and video game consoles. These platforms range from large computers to small handheld devices. Specialized video games such as arcade games, while previously common, have gradually declined in use. Read full entry

is it for you or your kids? for kids I would recommend Game cube. its about $79 and it has games for the entire family. (Mario kart, Zelda awsome game) if its for you then it all depends on what you are looking for. Let's start with the PS2. Price it's about $139 on a brand new system, and about $110 on a used system if you buy it at a retail store. PS2 has the largest library of any games. I must say that if you are into the "Role Playing Games" such as Final Fantasy series wich covers from final fantasy VII to Final Fantasy XI with Final Fantasy XII on it's way Next month, anyway they have different titles such asOnimusha I,II,III etc . In addition to the RPGs the PS2 has countless titles for any category. The bad thing about the PS2 it's the replay value of its games. Although it has beautiful, creative, asweome games, once you finish the game, you most likely will stop playing it so it becomes a little boring having to play the same game over and over again. consequently you will have to buy new games to entertain yourself. Xbox---- The price on a new Xbox system it's just like the PS2. New system around $139 and Used $110. The xbox has a decent game library, not as huge as the PS2 but it many great titles, specially sport titles. If you like to compete against the 4 million community of xbox live, then this is just for you. Sport titles from NBA, NHL, NFL,FIFA, Tennis, even Boxing are "Xbox Live enable" which means you could compete agains other peple. This is very important because the replay value of your games count. For example, if you have a xbox title from 2004, you can still play it and have fun, since thousands of other players still play this game. Now, if you had this same title for the PS2 you probably wouldn't play it unless you had competition from your neighbors, or family members. Another befefit from "xbox live community" it's friends. you will make lots and lots of friends who have the same game interests you have. you can chat with them and play at the same time, so it becomes very exiting. The bad thing about xbox: If you want to join Xbox live, you would have to pay an additional $49 per year. you would need a fast internet connection such as DSL, or Cable. You become addicted. lol Good Luck! |

What video game do you I like to play video games
while my girlfriend watches,
because she's not good at
playing them herself. It's
like an interactive movie.
I've played the entire Zelda
series for her, and Bioshock,
and now we're working on
Halflife 2.
I'm looking for a good
single-player game that I can
play while she watches.
Graphics and story are more
important than anything else.
I have a PS2, Gamecube, and
very good PC, and would prefer
a game on the PC.

If you want a game with a good story line play Final Fantasy VII that game has been out on the top ten list for games since it came out like ten years ago It's an amazing storyline and will keep you wanting to play I also recommend Final Fantasy X (both ff games you can play on the playstation) and Skies of Arcadia is amazing for the gamecube other than that not a big computer gamer |

Tetris on old monochrome monitor. Sounds funny now, but once it was a very advanced thing. That opened a world of computers and video games for me. |
