a vanishing twin is when you
were having twins but one baby
wasn't strong enough or didn't
receive enough nurishment and
the fetus was absorded back
into the mother
and i'm left handed if this
helps

Not unless you were told by the doctor you were having twins before one vanished. If not, then you might never know. i know what you are talking about tho. Sometimes during pregnancy, a woman will be carrying twins, but one will sometimes just "vanish". It is not a miscarriage, simply survival of the fittest. the twin that vanished is re-absorbed back into the bloodstream and used as nutrients in the placenta, etc.. |

I didn't find out my second daughter was a twin until she was born and the midwives examined her placenta. I never had any bleeding or anything abnormal during my pregnancy. I'd call your doctor and see if they can fit you in to make sure that your remaining twin is still okay. Good luck. |

What? Your MOTHER would have experienced vanishing twin syndrome, not you. You would have to ask your mother if she new wether you two were twins or fraternal.. however most mother don't know they're pregnant with twins when they have VTS, they just go through the pregnancy thinking they've had one all along. |
