What to do with my baggage Im going to Montreal tomorrow
with via rail and its my first
time going on the train. Ive
been to the airport many times
and I know with your baggage
there they load it on the
plane for you then you pick it
up on the conveyor belts. I
was wondering how it works on
the Via Rail. Im going out of
Union station and I was
wondering if a standard
suitcase would be acceptable
to go on the train. Also how
early should I arrive? An
hour?

If only one suitcase you can take with you and put in the luggage rack above your seat. If it is too heavy for that you can check it then pick it up in Montreal. Have a good trip!!! |

What Via Rail station in I am travelling from Toronto
to Buffelo with Via Rail, and
from Buffelo to Orlando by
place. Are the train station
and the airport close enough
to walk or how far apart are
they and what approx. cab fare
would that be?

My friend, Buffalo Niagara International Airport is in the Town of Cheektowaga, which is about 15 to 20 miles (24 to 32 Km) from Buffalo. The nearest Amtrak/VIA Rail station to the airport will be the Exchance Street Station. You can catch a cab from the train station to the airport or take Bus route #24 of the Buffalo Metro, which will leave you right at the departure gates. The fare is $1.75USD.
