History
The Norman conquest of Ireland beginning in 1171 brought most of Ireland under the theoretical control of the Plantagenet Kings of England. From the 13th century onwards, the Hiberno-Norman invasion in the rest of Ireland at first faltered then waned. Across most of Ireland, the Norman knights, and their servants who were mostly from Wales and Cornwall, increasingly assimilated to Irish culture after 1300. A series of alliances with their neighbouring autonomous Gaelic chieftains developed. In the long periods when there was no large royal army in Ireland, the Norman lords in the provinces acted as effectively independent rulers in their own areas, as the Gaelic chieftains continued to do. Best make-up for pale I have very pale skin and also
wear glasses so I'd like to
know how I can show my eyes
off behind them. Also any tips
to make the most of my pale
skin? I have dyed, deep red
hair also so will need tips on
how to make sure my make-up
doesn't clash. Anyone have any
ideas?
And no, I don't want to put on
fake tan and look less pale! I
love being pale and I always
will.

hey, i am exactly like you, really pale and wear glasses, and i used to have red hair too. it depends on your style really. the key thing for your eyes is to get a really good mascara that makes them look more defined (try l'oreal, their mascara is usually good). if u like bright colours for your eyeshadow, then i think purple is good (and wont clash too much with your hair). basically u just have to load on the colour because it looks so much less vibrant behind lenses. if u just want to define your eyes, try neutral colours - use a pale brown, or a sort of oatmeal colour all over the lid, then use a darker brown to define the crease, with an even darker one on the outer third of your lid. use a bit of brown eyeliner, some mascara and your good to go! now, for your skin - if you are confident with it, use a tinted moisturiser, as this will not cake your face. if u feel u need more coverage, use a mineral foundation or a light coverage liquid foundation (that new maybelline one is meant to be good, and they do it in porcelain). if u need even more coverage than that, try rimmel stay matte in ivory, as this is fairly high coverage or l'oreal infallible, again they do this in porcelain for us pale peeps! hope this helped. |

How does an extremely pale I have really really really
really pale skin, so pale that
people here in Santa Barbara
make fun of me for it. I cant
get a spray, or a fake tan,
because it makes me look
orange. What's a good tanning
routine that will help me get
a base tan, without completely
frying myself? Thanks!

I have the same problem. I've found that if you use Banana Boat SPF15 tanning oil it works wonders! I usually only burn, never tan, I tried that I went out to the beach ( I live in south Florida ) for about 4 hours and I got a nice tan and no burn! Its awesome & cheap. For your face though, don't use tanning oil, use a facial moisturizer that also has SPF 15, like Clean & Clear morning glow moisturizer, it has no oils in it. Oil on your face could cause damage, the skin on your face is much more sensitive than the rest of your body. Also use lip balm or chap stick because you don't want to burn your lips, that's a pain! |

How do I keep my skin pale in I love that I have unique,
pale skin. But during the
summer I get freckles and more
tan. I want to keep my winter
color all year long, or even
go more pale. Are there any
home remedies or products that
will lighten my skin color?

Add vinegar in your bath, this might lighten your skil, but if u have very sensitive skin, it might irratate your skin. or, try add a few slices of lemon in your bath. lemon can lighten skin, but use only at night time, or stay out of sun. Cuz i heard that lemon can absorb sunlight and make your skin darker. so stay out of sun and use sunblock. |
