Software documentation?
If a "lead" ask a person implementing a feature to document it themselves- is this considered deferring work to them???? Is the the responsible person supposed to do all documentation by themselves? I agree the person who wrote the feature should have an eaiser time documenting it- the lead will have to read it from the code... but maybe thats the intent?
Different shops use different processes. I've seen it go both ways. Some choose not to have their developers do it so they can focus more of their time on writing code. Some shops choose to have their developers do it because who knows the feature better than the person who wrote it?
Explain what is Crossreference list in softwaredocumentation?
I have a problem in the theory part of software engineering. I need to know what is 'Cross reference list' Anyone who knows tell me the answer. Thank you,
It probably refers to documenting software by cross referencing functions to their particular documentation. For example in UNIX, you can cross reference a C program by cross referencing functions like strcpy, perror, printf, etc. to their corresponding manpages. This could also refer to referring to documentation from another document outside of the scope. It really depends on the context and the documentation you're trying to write.
What is the most user friendlyand flexible RequirementsDocumentation Software?
I am looking for a requirement documentation tool that provides flexibility, ease of use and functionality for a price that is market competitive. This is for a small software consulting company.
OpenOffice.org (lowest cost) or Word and a template.
