singing....?
I've never been a real singer,
I just sing whenever im
singing along to a tune or
when im singing a hymn during
church. But one day I was
singing along to "I wanna be a
producer" and my mom looked
over at me wide eyed and
shocked. I stopped and said
"what?" and she said you know
what? you have a beautiful
voice! but i dont know if she
was just being nice or if she
was serious...can i trust my
mom and believe that i really
do have a good voice?

Trust your mom, and also talk to a private voice teacher about it, they should be able to tell you more. Good Luck! |

How can I start my singing I love to sing, when I am home
alone I sing, but I am really
shy and I will not even sing
in front of my dad, and he is
a singer in a band that has
been on TV before. What is a
good way to solve this? I know
that I have a fairly good
singing voice, I think I sing
about as good as a lot of
other singers using their real
voice. What is a helpful way
to overcome my shyness?

I've learned the way to overcome every challenge is to practice overcoming it. You should concern yourself with what other people think. It'll help inform you about where you stand with the market you intend to impact. Most performing artists recognize we are works in progress, no matter how seasoned we are. I'm still shy, still nervous every performance. My many performances have helped me cope with those things easier. The same will happen for you. I heard somewhere that a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. I'm starting to understand precisely what that means! Be Well, Life |

When singing a song how do you When singing a song how do you
tap in to the feeling of the
story? With some songs, I want
to dig deeper with in my
emotions to bring new life to
the song, but some times it's
really a challenge. Any tips
or exercises you can suggest
to me on how to tap deep into
the heart of the song and
bring those feelings out into
the song; into your singing?

Just listen to the song a couple of times to get a feel for it, than sing away. You'll find it better each time. And while you listen to it, think about whats being said and try to find a way to relate. Tada, then you'll be able to sing with emotion. |
