...Samuel Ruben (born Charles Rubenstein, November 5, 1913 – September 28, 1943), the son of Herschel and Frieda Penn Rubenstein – the name was officially shortened to Ruben in 1930. Young Sam developed a friendship with neighbor Jack Dempsey and became involved with a local boys' boxing club and later, when the family moved across the Bay to Berkeley, he was a successful basketball player at Berkeley High School . After achieving his B.S. in Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley, he continued his studies there and was awarded a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry in May 1938. Why the Clippers will do good Do you want to know why I KNOW
they will do good next season.
It's because the Clipper's
added a strong core of young
and veteran players into their
roster. For starters they
drafted Al Thornton, who is
athletic and is filled with
potential. He will probably be
a frequently used bench
player, or possibly even
start. Also they signed
Guillermo Diaz, who greatly
improved while playing in the
Euroleague. They even got
Brevin Knight, who averages 7
assists and 10 points per
game. Those are solid numbers
for a point guard, and he will
be a GREAT backup for Sam
Cassell. Not only that, but
they got Ruben Patterson who
averaged 15 points on the
Bucks. He can bring in
experience and he's a big man
that can replace Chris Kaman
when he's not doing so well
(which Chris happens to do
alot). So here are my reasons
why the Clipperse will do
good.

I believe! Im also a clippers fan! Clippers for life! Its going to be hard watching the games without Elton Brand, but with Ruben Patterson i think we`ll do just fine! pg-sam cassel/ Brevin Knight sg- Mobley sf- Maggs/ paterson/ Tim Thomas pf- tim thomas/ al thornton c- kaman! even though kamans hurt, cassel isnt injured anymore, we're going to hold a little below or .500% record til elton comes back and then we become the best in the west! WOO GO CLIPPRS =) i have afeelin people are going to give me dumbs down for my answer! =) hahah who cares GO CLIPPRS! |
