Does anybody know the names ofall the castles on the RhineRiver in Germany?
I need all the names of the castles on the Rhine River in Germeny. I don't care if there a rubble heap or whatever, just all the names. Also where you got them too.
~I only know Hans, Fritz, Edeltraut, Otto, Ludwig and Helga personally. That's not what they went by to the locals, but that's what their given names really were.

Should I travel to Berlin orthe Rhine Valley?
I am considering a tour group to Europe this year and I am deciding on the destinations. One tour goes to Berlin and the other to the Rhine Valley. My friend has said that Berlin doesn't offer as much as the Valley because most of it was destroyed in WW2. I want variety and history in my journey, which destination offers more?
I disagree, but I also think that the comparison is like comparing between going to New York or San Francisco, and taking a holiday in Yellowstone and its adjacent small towns. Berlin hasn't got a historical city centre, that's true. But history is there. There are remains from the Medieval period onwards, naturally lots of interesting sites from the Nazi and the Cold War eras. Historically, Berlin has been one of the most important cities in Europe since the 17th century, and this shows. Naturally, because of its interesting history, it also has lots of ultra-modern architecture, the most cutting-edge there is. So, in the same trip you can see a huge glass-tent from 2000s, and the largest Baroque palace in Europe. That's variety. Berlin has also a large number, unmatched, of museums (of art, of history, technology, etc. However, it is also the "greenest" city in Europe, with the largest number of trees/population, lakes and parks in the middle of the city. Berlin, it is true, has a vivid night-life scene, but even without it, there is lots to do there.
