Religion........?
wether is
Christianity,Islam,Judaism,Tao
ism,Buddhism,Athiest etc etc.
why do we as people think our
religion is better than
someone elses? Are we that
conceitied or are we just
blind to see that there is no
true answer out there of
exisitance of a higher being.
I do believe in this higher
being and im aware of his
presence. But why is religion
becoming a topic that people
around the world are fighting
and killing themselves over.
Will society ever accept all
religions? Will religion
eventually be erased from
society? Will this higher
being show his or her face on
this Earth?

I understand what you're asking. It's wrong to act better than someone else because of religion (or anything else, for that matter! race, age, etc.) However, if you check out the Bible (I'm Catholic too), it says that Jesus really is the only way to God. "No one goes to the Father except through me." "I am the way, the truth, and the life." So as a Catholic, that's what I believe. So, I really do believe that my faith in Jesus is the only way that I can be saved, and I want everyone else to have that personal relationship too. However, that does not make me better than anyone else, and I should not force my beliefs on anyone. I should love everyone no matter what religion, or lack of it. And I should not act like my beliefs are better than anyone else's. Hope I explained my views clearly. |

What do you think the purpose From what I understand,
superstition were made to fill
the gaps. And superstition
were turned into religion by
men who wanted power. They use
religion to control other
people through fear. And
religion works best against
the weak-minded who don't have
the guts to accept reality for
what it is. Religious leaders
all the way from the past took
advantage of this and used
religion to control them. That
is why you see so many
different religions all over
the world. Each culture has
its own made up religion. It's
so obvious. It has continued
until today and the
weak-minded are still being
exploited.

Religion came out of modern homo sapiens. As soon as our brain evolved to the point at which we were able to contemplate our own origins, we went passed a threshold of previous hominids. Religion accompanied civilizations and was built upon for thousands of years. People tend to forget that had it not been for evolution, there would not be the large amount of neural connections in our brains that would allow us to create something like christianity or islam. |

I don't judge anyone based only on their choice of religion. I do judge them for how they practice it in terms of interaction with others. The belief that everyone that doesn't follow your religion should convert or die, or that everyone should follow your particular beliefs whether they like it or not through the imposition of laws. If you want to sacrifice Hershey bars to the marshmallow god, I'm fine with that as long as you don't try to force me to eat smores every Friday. |

God had the Bible written in his words as a guide for all his creation (you and me)the Bible is our owners manual. Christian life is walking in spirit with God. Religion is whatever you want it to be. Being a Christian doesn't limit what Church you go to. A Christian goes to Church to please God and to hear his word spoke(the Bible). Being a Christian (born again) is the only way to Heaven. Religion is just a word.
