...Rapping (also known as emceeing, MCing, spitting (bars), or just rhyming) is the rhythmic spoken delivery of rhymes, wordplay, and poetry. Rapping is a primary ingredient in hip hop music, but the phenomenon predates hip hop culture by centuries. Rapping can be delivered over a beat or without accompaniment. Stylistically, rap occupies a gray area among speech, prose, poetry, and song. The use of the word to describe quick speech or repartee long predates the musical form,Oxford English Dictionary meaning originally "to hit". The word had been used in British English since the 16th century, and specifically meaning "to say" since the 18th. It was part of the African American dialect of English in the 1960s meaning "to converse", and very soon after that in its present usage as a term denoting the musical style.Safire, William. (1992). ON LANGUAGE; The rap on hip-hop. The New York Times Magazine. Today, the terms "rap" and "rapping" are so closely associated with hip hop music that many use the terms interchangeably. What was the copyright lawsuit I'm pretty sure I remember
hearing about a copyright case
where a rapper A sued another
rapper B for their album
cover. Rapper A said that
rapper B's cover was too
similar. I believe the court
determined that, in fact, it
was copyright infringement on
the basis that the alignment
of the jewelry on their hands
(maybe on arms as well or
something) was similar. I just
can't remember who were the
rappers.

Too my knowledge you cannot copyright arrangement of jewelry on your body, a suit could of been filed... but it would of been more frivilous garbage. |

What rapper has the most years You can count rappers that
have a classic album as part
of group and as a solo artist
if that makes a difference.
Also, could you tell me if you
think the rapper you chose is
top 5 all-time? I'm just
wondering how that correlates.

Well QTip's Renaissance is being hailed as Classic from some people I'm not too sure myself but that would make 1991 - 2008. I'm going to go with Masta Ace - Take a Look Around (1990) to Long Hot Summer (2004). Neither is probably Top 5 but both are 5 star MC's IMO. |

practice writing lyrics and flow and rhythm. lyrics are real important but if u dont got the flow then lyrics are pointless. try just freestyling until u say something u like and then write it down. thats what alot of 80's and 90's rappers did and thats what me and my group do too. it helps alot |
