Questions/Answers
What do you think abouthitting with the Rabbit Punchin a Bar fight?
I knew I had crossed the line, I even sensed it at that very instant, (there was an echo in my head... "Rabbit Punch",because it is well known that that move is dangerous- but it was in the middle of a free for all, and I didn't particularly want to get hurt. Then I ran away into the kitchen.
Ah, its you again. I will say this for you. You do not create different accounts to ask the same question, some what noble. Here are my thoughts on it. You should not do it unless you have too. My other thoughts are why do you ask the same question over and over all about hitting the back of the head. Where you hit in the back of the head to make you forget that you have asked about it many times.
Which is a better name for it,"Rabbit Punch", or "BunnyPunch"?
A very effective punch, too, might I add. I think they call it that, because the person you hit is liek a rabbit afterwards, turns into a Bugs Bunny .
A rabbit punch is a punch to the neck or to the base of the skull. It is considered dangerous because it can damage the cervical vertebrae and subsequently the spinal cord, which may lead to serious spinal cord injury or even death. For this reason the punch is illegal in boxing and many other combat sports that involve striking. The punch's name is derived from the use of the technique by hunters to kill rabbits with a quick, sharp strike to the back of the head, for instance using a blunt object such as a steel pipe. The punch is also considered in other cultures to be a punch directly to the kidney region; this can often cause internal bleeding and often leads to cardiac arrest. The punch was first referred to as the rabbit punch after an Australian boxer in the 1940's, Aaron Mulheron, used the punch to subdue opponents. The move was eventually banned in 1941. This punch is now an illegal tactic in all full contact fighting sports.
Why is a rabbit punch calledthat?
I know it is a punch to the back of the head. But how did it originate?
