"Excuse me, I'm wondering if I could take a few moments of your time for my student research project?" Only if they signal interest do you go further into details. If they say "sure" you can let them know that the interview would be video recorded with their permission. Best of luck. |

It'd probably depend on your skills. If you have a law degree and you are good at public speaking, running for office makes sense. Professional lobbying or running think tanks require some knowledge of an industry or technical area. Anyone can be an activist and help organize a movement, though. Voting is the most important but isn't exclusive to doing anything. |
