How much does the prevalence I have heard many things about
curly hair being associated
with African ancestry. Now,
there is genetic evidence of
varying amounts of DNA from
African migrations into
Europe, or contact with
Phoenicians and the like, in
certain regions, but I'm not
sure how much to believe it. I
want to know if the prevalence
of curly hair matches up with
the appropriate regions. Is
curly hair significantly more
common around the
Mediterranean and the Balkans
than elsewhere in Europe?
Edit: I have a pretty sweet
head of curly hair too.

Curly hair is found among all Europeans. EVEN some scandinavians have got curly hair. it has nothing to do with "africans" or "races". It's just HUMAN! |

What is your thoughts of the Has anyone besides me noticed
the prevalence of couples
planning to have children
outside of marriage? I am not
talking about unplanned
pregnancies. I am not talking
about a woman deciding she is
ready to have a baby but she
is not in a relationship and
does not feel she can wait any
longer. I am talking about two
people in a committed
relationship deciding they are
ready to have children, yet
they are not married. I wanted
to know other's thoughts on
the subject.

That indeed is a prevalent case nowadays--unmarried people with children. The question is: what is the couple's reason for keeping themselves out of a commitment such as marriage? That one has to be thought of. If they cannot commit themselves to marriage, why would they want to have children? Usually, in the Philippines, others do not get married yet due to economical reasons. But isn't it that having children cost a lot? If the people takes delight on having kids around and at the same time making the set-up convenient for them (i.e. they can get out of the tacit 'relationship' anytime), then wouldn't that be unfair for the children as well? |

You could try the state board of health site for this. The CDC will break down prevalence by age/gender/race. If the data is available. It will be on the state site. |
