How to turn off an annoying When I am navigating in
Windows Vista a tiny pop up
icon appears that's shaped
like an "up and down scroll
bar." It wants me to use it to
scroll up and down my pages
but is severely interfering
with my surfing and work flow.
I would love to eliminate this
pop up icon forever.
Alternatively, a solution
would be some instruction how
to master it's function. For
now it's a real pest I would
love to eliminate.

Hi Robert Diz, My name is Ron, and I work with the Windows Outreach Team. I thought I’d drop in here and try to help out. Is this icon showing up at certain times? The only thing I can discern is that you may be clicking the scroll wheel on your mouse. When you do this, it brings up an icon that allows a user to scroll up and down pages by simply moving the mouse, rather than scrolling. Hope this helps.
