...The pika, a cousin of the rabbit, is a small chinchilla-like animal, with short limbs, rounded ears, and short tail. The name pika ( , archaically spelled pica) is used for any member of the Ochotonidae, a family within the order of lagomorph, which also includes the Leporidae (rabbits and hares). One genus, Ochotona, is recognised within the family, and it includes 30 species. Pikas are also called rock rabbits or coneys. It is also known as the "whistling hare" due to its high-pitched alarm call when diving into its burrow. The name "pika" appears to be derived from the Tungus piika, or perhaps from the Russian pikat "to squeak". Read full entry

my pika-poo dog has odd dark my pika-poo is about a year
old. she recently started
developing tiny dark brown
spots on her skin. the spots
are only located under her
back legs, where her legs meet
her stomach. they are also
located around her vag. and on
her belly, but only underneath
her on her rear half. is this
normal? could there be
something wrong with her? she
has had fleas in the past, but
she doesnt have them any more.
the spots are not raised or
sore. what could this be?

I think it's to do with what she's being fed. My puppy had this, but then I switched her food to a good dry puppy food. And the spots disappeared. I recentley took her off the dry food and onto something else, and the spots came back. So, I went back to the old food, and the spots are going again. By the way.... It's Peek-a-Poo. And....Oh nevermind...I'm sure everyone else will tell you. |
