performance?
does any one know a good website where i can find cheap performance parts for my 1995 nissan altima
I'd recommend that you keep the cheap parts away from your car. nissan makes pretty good cars. If you really have to buy cheap stuff , you'll save in the long run, if ya just throw the stuff in the trash.
Do I need a performanceexhaust system or just theperformance muffler to make mycar sound better?
My exhaust is in decent condition and i want it sound performance like. Do i need to get a whole performance exhaust system or would it make a difference in the sound if I just get the performance muffler? P.S .I have a dual exhaust system on a 97' Camaro.
you could just add a muffler, if thats the rout that you take i would recommend a Cherry bomb glasspack. those have a good sound for there price and you can find them on line at http://www.cherrybomb.com/glas spacks-front.html. but if you want to also increase your horse power, you can also replace the current exhaust and replace t with a new one with a 2 inch or larger diameter for better sound. the choice is yours, but i recommend the entire system being replaced. good luck.
What performance enhancingdrugs are legal in sports? Byhow much does it enhance theperformance by?
I know even caffeine and viagra can enhance performance in sports, and they are not banned substances. Also, how true is it that these drugs enhance the athletes performance significantly? could it be all about the mentality of the athlete? after all, emotion can stimulate a persons performance. And what is your take on the legalization of these drugs? since technology is not banned, and it also gives an unfair advantage.
As far as I know, no substances are allowed that the testers can detect and discover that people are taking for a benefit, that do not also count as normal parts of the diet. Let's call them substances since, in my book, a drug is a medicine that has it's effect primarily on the nervous system. It's not an iron-clad definition, but caffeine, prozac and speed are examples of drugs; penicillin, steroids and insulin are not so much. Performance enhancing substances, like steroids, can drastically benefit an athlete's performance, on a purely physical level, and mentally too. But there are risks, and we should probably keep them away from our young people. until we know those risks. That said, I don't see any reason, other than old-fashioned prejudice why the top athletes aren't allowed to put into their bodies anything they think will make them better. We allow them protein shakes (since the testers can't detect those) and vitamins and they aren't "natural" or necessarily safe either. Cheating is starting in the middle of a race, or weighing down the opponent's javelin. Not feeding yourself the right chemicals! That's called preparation and training. As for the "unfair advantage", those with the right genes have an "unfair" advantage too. Maybe others, with even more competitive fight, need to level the field with a little chemical help. Why is that cheating? Maybe we should check blood samples for fast running genes, and take away those people's medals too! Again, apart from the health risks, to the extent that we are responsible for athletes take care of themselves, I see no reason why performance-enhancing substances are banned, especially in sports. The result is you're not really seeing the best performance anymore; you're seeing the best performance under traditional nutritional standards. The Olympics have become a geo-political Disney world. If the ancient Greeks were still around, they would embrace the use of anything that enhanced performance. The games were supposed to be about nothing BUT the very best possible performance in whatever category. Not about being normal and healthy.
