Paris...? :)?
Yes. I know you poor Parisians
are tired of answering stupid
tourist-y questions about
Paris this and Paris that. I
am sorry. Lolz. But seriously
I NEED to know this...
What's the weather like in
Paris/Normandy in June? My
friends seem to think it will
be cold enough for coats and
ugg boots but I disagree.
Also how much money will I
need for 5 days in Paris and 2
days in Normandy?
Has anybody heard of the MIJE
centre and is it nice?
I would be so grateful if you
answered :)
xx

Well, how cold you will be in June in Northern France depends on where you are from. If you are from someplace like the centre of Australia where getting cold means you have to put on long trousers, then yes, you will be cold and need a coat in France. If you are from the UK, no, you won't need a coat or ugg boots (not called ugg for nothing. I must be the only woman in the western world who doesn't own a pair) because the chances are you won't be that cold during the day, and in the evening you might want a shawl or light jacket or jumper in Normandy (because that's by the sea, Atlantic winds never stop blowing). Money: Go with the equivalent of €125 a day each. Then you'll have enough to buy whatever you need. Not sure how Ugg boots would go down in a stylish city like Paris, to be honest .... Otherwise, there's this great little resource called Google.com, use it to find out information. Then you're less like to receive MISinformation from people here. |

How to apply Morocco visa in I am planning to go to Morocco
in April and I am an Indian
studying in Paris.
I have my carte de sejour but
what all other documents do I
require to apply for the visa.
I went to the Morocco
Consulate in South of Paris
but they told me to go to
Pontoise and gave me the
telephone number and email.
I tried contacting them , but
they are not replying them or
picking up the phone.
Pontoise is quite far from
Versailles where I live, so
please give advices or
suggestions or own
experiences.
It would be quite helpful...
Thanks

Hi, I can understand you as my country's civil servants have the reputation to be very "efficient" :) If you want a visa to go to Morocco, first, make sure you need one ;) Most of the countries don't need visas for Morocco if they are just coming for less than three months :) Well, seemingly you need one... I don't understand this stupid visa system, especially in a country like Morocco but well... You know, even Moroccans have to fill a form explaining why they come back to their country when they get to an airport : security measure... Foolish! But anyway ^^ http://www.amb-maroc.fr/Bienve nueMaroc/voyager_au_maroc.htm This link will help you a bit :) Je suppose que tu parles français, donc tu n'auras pas de problèmes pour comprendre ce qu'il y a de marqué ;) If you need any further help, just email me (you can send me a message from my profile). |

What is the best way to travel I want to visit Paris for one
weekend and London the next.
What is the cheapest and
efficient way to do this?? I
study in town south of Paris
but I can take the train to
Paris. Do I take the train
from Paris to London to get
there? Do I have to order my
tickets in advance??
Suggestions and tips please.

It's usually best to get your tickets in advance so you can stick to a schedule and not have to worry about the train being sold out and all of that. I would take a train from Paris to London, it would be easiest to find a train from a big city (such as Paris). You're very lucky to be in a study-abroad program, do you like it? Would you recommend it? Good luck! |
