Whats the difference betweenOxford College of Emory andEmory College?
Whats the difference between Oxford College of Emory and Emory College? I am really confused by this because I really want to get into Emory University and I dont understand this. Emory college accpets 27 percent applicants and oxford accepts 56 percent but by junior year they go to emory. I dont understand this. Is Oxford college like UTSA where u waste a year to go to UT or is it just the same thing. SOmeone please tell me.
Oxford College is a smaller (about 700 students) 2-year "branch campus" where the students automatically continue onto main campus as long as they have a 2.5 GPA. It is also much easier to get in than main campus (Emory College). The Oxford campus was the original campus for Emory University many years ago before it moved to Atlanta. The Oxford campus is in Oxford,GA about 45 minutes from main campus. The school is not very well known, but its popularity is gaining quickly. Some consider it a "back-door" to main campus Emory and tend to look down on it.
What do Oxford uniinterviewers look for in acandidate, and what is theaudition like?
In the future I aspire to study History and Politics at Oxford university. I was wondering if there were any Oxford students or ex students that could assist me, by telling me what the interviewers are looking for, and what the audition is actually like. Thanks very much.
You need to have very good general knowledge about relevant subjects - but they really love it if you have a particular interest in 1 or 2 topics that you can talk for ages about - you should do lots of research into something that especially interests you, go to historical places, talk to experts etc.
