I don't know how old you are but in younger women if you have a cyst surgically removed they will most likely remove the ovary as well because of the amount of scar tissue. I have a mildly complex ovarian cyst right now. They can put you on a medication such as birth control to shrink it down but it does not always work. If you do not have any complications with the cyst i/e: pain, then they might not even do anything about it. Most women have cysts and never even know. If they give you the option of having surgery recommend being put on a diabetes medication. I don't quite remember the name but my cousin and aunt both have had ovarian cysts and taking that medication caused theirs to go away without having to have surgery. Just a thought! I hope this helps! |

In my opinion you really should go to the doctor and get a better opinion about your problem. Sometimes we try to do things by our own and end up being more painful and more expensive. I read a really good book about ovarian cyst treatment, symptoms and natural cure. If you have time and want to take a look I recommend it! |

Stop worring about it. I have had cysts on my ovarys since my first period. I now have three kids and am 33 years old. I did have a complete hysterectomy last year due to early menopause and the history of ovarian, cervical and uteran cancer in my family and the fact that I had uteran cysts due to heavy bleeding. Cyst are a natural part of menstrating. It will rupture in time depending on the size depends on wiether or not it is painful. I have had cysts rupture as large as the size of my thumb nail it is rare that they get that big. But it did no damage to my ovarys or reproduction abilities. |
