How to share internet I already asked this but they
all replied that i need a
router but i have it already!
I just dont know how i can
make it work.
Me have computer with internet
and he have a computer without
internet, we share internet
yesterday but today the other
computer does not have any
internet anymore. How we can
share?

If internet is still working on your own system and your router is just having my possible connection outlet, and also if you want your friend to connect only through your computer, then you have to download a proxyl, Analogx Proxy is a good one. It is free, load and install it on your own computer and make sure that you start that software (proxy) everytime you have your own system on. To make is better, I will advise that you just pick or copy the proxy startup file and drop it in your Startup (OS). This will make your proxyl to startup everytime your system starts. Now lastly, you may have to check that your friend's system is set to connect through your own system. To do this, you click on your tools under your IE and select Connection after this choose LAN connection and put the name of your computer or the IP address. And ofocurse that means you must have IP addresses for the computers, this will make your connection easier. I will advise that you use static IP addresses. Good luck once again. |

ok Assuming that you know how to put a password then just do it but if you don't well just go to run then type cmd it should take you to a black dialog box then just type in ipconfig then is should give you a Default Gateway it should be something along the lines of 192.168.1.1 but some time not exactly well just type that number in you internet browser and then just find something likesecurityy then just have wep code for a more simple way and there you go but since i am a funny guy just turn on the sprinklers while his on the front lawn he wont come back |

How do I get my internet to I have a speedstream 6520
modem and cannot get the
internet connection to show up
on other computers while
searching for a connection. I
am definantally close enough
to it because I have tried it
with my laptop right next to
my speedstream 6520. It can
only pick up the neighbours
signal.
