Can connecting another I had two computers both
connected to a wireless
router. Yesterday I connected
a third computer to the
network and, although the
connection goes through for
this new computer, one of the
original computers now says
"Limited or no connectivity"
and cannot connect to the
Internet. Is it possible that
the new computer is using up
too much bandwidth and is
therefore preventing the other
computer from accessing the
Internet?

The easiest way is to log into your router. Consult your manual for the user name and password, and keep it handy. Then open up your favorite browser, and type in "192.168.1.1", or "192.168.1.0", and enter in the login information. At this point the steps differ for different routers. Mine, for example, you click "Logs" on the menu, and it has a page where you can view which computers accessed which site, and you can even have it email you the log on a regular basis. |
