I was recently given a car gps unit, however, the car charger is missing a fuse (not sure how this happened). The manual says if replacing, to use a 3 amp fast-blow fuse. I know I can probably find one at the local Radio Shack, but am temporarily without transportation. What other electronics/appliances use them that i could possibly sacrifice? I opened up an old car charger that was no longer being used. The 1 amp fuse it had fits perfectly in my gps charger, but I don't know if it would interfere with proper charging and/or damage my gps unit.
