What is there to do in Osakaat night that doesn't involveclubbing and/or alcohol?
I am going to Osaka in two weeks and I was wondering what there is to do in Osaka at night that doesn't involve clubbing or going to a bar and getting drunk? Thanks!
Lots of stuff to do. Especially if the weather's nice. You could just walk around Namba, Shinsaibashi or Umeda and look at all of the interesting people. You could go to Universal Studios or the promenade at the entrance. Big ferris wheel at Hep Plaza near Umeda. Lots of shopping arcades in both the Namba and Umeda areas. Go to the Kaiyuukan (Aquarium) to see some fishes or more shopping. There's Korean Town for some good restaurants. Even if you don't like drinking, you could probably find a few clubs with live music playing every Friday or Saturday night. You can still go to a club even though you don't want to drink. Osaka Castle is lit up at night. There are even some night cruises that take you around to see the skyline from Osaka Bay. All kinds of fun things. Search Kansai Flea Market or Kansai Time Out for listings of upcoming events.
Where are good and reasonablypriced places to stay in Osakaand Tokyo?
I may be traveling to Osaka and Tokyo soon, but I will be going by myself, so there's no one to split hotel costs with. Do you have any recommendations for good, cheap places to stay in these areas? Thanks! Legitimate answers only, please.
There is a hotel chain called Toyoko Inn. I stayed there and liked it. It is 6,000 yen or $50.
