Orlando....?
Okay, i am going to Orlando
Florida with my dad and little
sister on Saturday!! I need to
know what i need to bring.
Also have any of you been to
the Cypress Point resort in
Orlando. Are they a nice
place? Have any of you taken
southwest airlines. If you
have, what are they like.

Bring a jacket because we are currently experiencing a cold front. I'd also bring your swimsuit too, because there's a good chance it could warm up by then. Bring your camera, comfortable shoes, and sunglasses. I'd also bring a backpack because purses (if you carry one) tend to be a bit inconvient at theme parks (although you can rent lockers) and walking around. Check out orlandoinfo.com for info about where to eat, what events are going on, etc. |

What airline can take me and I want to go Orlando with my
parents sometime soon. I have
a question for you. Why did
9/11 happen? What airline is
safe and can take me and my
parents to Orlando Florida
from Charlotte North Carolina?
I am 16 years old and I too
scared to fly after 9/11. Am I
allowed to take a laptop, cd
player, and a nintendo DS
onboard the plane? I been to
Orlando once when I was 8
years old and now I wanted to
go back to Orlando. What
things can I pack in my
bookbag that has my Star Wars
keychain on it? I am too
scared to fly and I flew to
Baltimore this year and I was
soo scared! Should I take a
book with me? Do I need a
photo ID? I will ask my
parents to go with me to
Orlando soon so I will not be
scared. What should I do to
keep me calm? I am too scared
to fly again after September
11, 2001! The airport is CLT
and me and my parents had to
fly into MCO. How many hours
will I be on the airplane? I
am too scared to fly. Peace,

I know that USAirways flies direct from Charlotte to Orlando. Charlotte is a USAirways hub so they are the dominant carrier in Charlotte. If Air Tran flies out of Charlotte, they may be another option. Not sure if Southwest flies out of Charlotte. You can try them also. All 3 airlines mentioned are extremely safe. 9/11 and terrorism in general is just a way to try to bully us into meeting some demand by those who are committing the acts. Their purpose is to try to scare us and make us live in fear. The best way to fight this is to not change the way you are living and to be more alert, especially if you see unusual activity. I recommend the less you bring with you the better. But CD players, laptops and Nintendos should be allowed. Don't bring bottled water, toothpaste or liquid of any kind. Even make-up and lipstick are not permitted. Just remember that flying is the safest form of transportation. You are more likely to die in a car accident than an airplane accident. Airplane accidents always make the news because they are so rare. Plus they say the chances of surviving an airplane accident are pretty high. Aircraft are made with pretty strong material and can withstand a bomb blast. I would recommend bringing a book or reading the inflight magazine to occupy your time. Definitely bring I.D. with you. If you are flying with your parents, you can talk to them. Talking sometimes will help calm your fears. You can also try to sleep through the flight. As for the flight-time, I would say it should only take between 1 1/2 -2 1/2 hours to get from Charlotte to Orlando. Hope you get over your fear. Just think about all the fun you will have in Orlando. If you really cannot take it, then drive. |

What Orlando theme parks would I am working on losing weight,
but still have quite a way to
go... I don't remember ever
seeing anyone have a problem
riding anything at
DisneyWorld, but I haven't
been in 10 years! I had to get
off the roller coaster at Six
Flags because the belt
wouldn't clip... I want to be
able to enjoy a vacation in
Orlando with my husband and
kids this December.

Disney is actually the best park for this. Universal Studios is ok, but you might not be able to ride some of their coasters. You will probably be ok at everything at Disney. Here's a great link about this very thing: http://allears.net/tp/ridsiz.h tm |
