Oratory refers to the ancient art of (public) speaking. In ancient Greece and Rome, oratory was studied as a component of rhetoric (that is, composition and delivery of speeches), and was an important skill in public and private life. Aristotle and Quintilian discussed oratory, and the subject, with definitive rules and models, was emphasised as a part of a liberal arts education during the Middle Ages and Renaissance. No. It's easier. Literacy is at one of its highest rates worldwide. College is obtainable for anybody willing to take on some debt. The American Dream has never been easier in America. What I have learned while traveling is that is isn't the "American Dream." It's a worldwide thing, and they don't necessarily want to come to the states to get it. |

Does anybody have any good I'm in highschool, and I'm on
the speech team and I was
wondering if anybody had any
good ideas for an original
oratory speech? Original
oratory is persuasive
speaking. Last year I did a
speech on the Gay gene and
explained how the theory was
correct. I can't do another
gay speech according to the
National Forensic League
rules, but I do need some
topic ideas. Please help!
