night club?
if i own a night club, what things can i do to maintain a competitive edge over other night clubs?
The first step is to take stock of what other nightclubs in your area are doing. Go out and spend a couple of weekends in your competitor’s establishments. Look/listen at what people are doing/saying. Watch for trends in demographics, and see if/how they change based on the night and time of night. What type of music do they play, what types of activities do they have, how are customers responding? You are looking to see what is drawing what types of customers into what types of clubs. Once you have a good feel for who the market is and what other clubs are offering, take a good objective look at your club. Try very hard to see your business from a customer’s perspective. Be honest with yourself about your relative strengths and weaknesses. A SWOT analysis might help with this (a listing of internal strengths and weaknesses, and external market opportunities and threats.) The goal is to focus on branding your business and creating long-term sustainable competitive advantage. Focus on providing something that your customers value consistently so that customers begin to associate those things with your business as opposed to gimmicky things that erode margin and aren't long-term solutions. For example, say you notice that at every other nightclub customers get impatient waiting for drinks/service. You might decide that your competitive advantage is going to be that a customer will never wait more than 30 seconds for their drink order to be taken. Whatever it/they is/are don't advertise it, let your customers figure it out, and they will! The next step would be to create that culture within your building. At ___ club, our customers don't wait for service. Finally, you'll need to align you operations to reflect your brand. Check out "Strategy Maps" by Kaplan and Norton for a good book on creating strategic alignment. Great question, I can't tell you how many business owners are satisfied with the status quo or think that they aren't in control of their own destiny. Your question shows that you are an innovative entrepreneur. I hope I was detailed enough to give you some ideas and get you going. Night Club: Can you have makea business throwing partiesand hiring out the night clubsfor them?
I want to run/host my own parties that will be held in maybe night clubs, how does this usually work? Do night clubs usually plan their own events or can outsiders create and run the event and pay the night club a hiring fee?
Some clubs will let you hire their venue so you can put on your own do's but its a risky buisiness, what you gonna do if you dont sell enough tickets? you need to sell enough tickets to make up for the payment of doorstaff/barstaff Djs/entertainment,advertising. Seek some advice from nightclubs and find out what other promoters do to hire out venues. Good luck
How do I become a night clubpromoter?
I am seriously intersted in promoting a night club, how can I get the club space for free, how can I make alot of money, and what is good money that club promoters make?
Get a team together. Get a couple of good unknown DJs who are willing to play for free just for the exposure. Get a couple of good unknown bands who will play for free just for the exposure. Maybe get a sponsor (not totally necessary)-maybe a liquor company to sponsor a night with free samples, drinks and promotions. Then get a group of hot chicks as "friends" who wouldn't mind hanging out in a club with good music and good drinks for free. Once you have something to offer a club owner then ask to speak with the club owner. Tell them you can get -blank- number of people in the door on a given night to spend a bunch of many at their bar. They may also make money by charging at the door. You get people in the door, the DJ should get people in the door, cheap or free drinks will bring in the ladies and wherever there's women, men will follow. Find out what the club makes on a given night. Guarantee they will make their usual money plus a percentage of the door and all of the bar. Then you'll take a percentage of anything over that. For example, once the club makes $1000 off the door then you'll make 50% of the door after that. This is overly simplified. There are many ways to work out a deal, but hopefully you get the idea. You will take all the risk. You have to make sure everyone you work with is happy. You are the last one to get paid.
