...The Muses (Ancient Greek , hai moũsai Modern Greek οι μούσες, i moúses.: perhaps from the o-grade of the Proto-Indo-European root *men- "think"from which mind and mental are also derived; so OED ) in Greek mythology, poetry, and literature are the goddesses or spirits who inspire the creation of literature and the arts. They were considered the source of the knowledge, related orally for centuries in the ancient culture, that was contained in poetic lyrics and myths. Originally said to be three in number, by the Classical times of the 400s BC, their number had grown and become set at nine goddesses who embody the arts and inspire the creation process with their graces through remembered and improvised song and stage, writing, traditional music, and dance. Vocabulary: How is it called Its not only about teenagers,
but I think we have more of
that.
You know, while growing up,
especially girls, have those
"phases". I'd like to know how
you call it. For example, at
13 she was a spice girl frenzy
fan that had leonardo
dicaprio's posters all over
her walls. At 14, she was a
skater and dressed like her
bunch. At 15, she was a goth.
At 16, she had a boyfriend and
wall all about him.
Guys, calm down... I know we
all grow up and son on. I've
had too many phases myself.
But as you see, is a
VOCABULARY doubt, purely.
English isnt my mother
language and I was in need to
know how did you refer to
that. In my language, you call
it "phase". I know it make
sense in english, but I didnt
know if you actually had
another word for it. So that's
that.

Here are some other English words that are similar to phase, and would be appropriate to use: - chapter - facet - juncture - stage - period |

Pegasus spent a lot of time on Mount Helicon as did the muses. So it would probably be MTHELICON in your crossword, especially since it also fits the letters you have. From Wikipedia: "In Greek mythology, the mountain was celebrated by Hesiod because two springs sacred to the Muses were located here: the Aganippe and the Hippocrene, both of which bear "horse" (ἵππος hippos) in their toponym. In a related myth, the Hippocrene spring was created when the winged horse Pegasus aimed his hoof at a rock, striking it with such force that the spring burst from the spot." |
