In contrast, microscopic fungi that grow as single cells are called yeasts. A connected network of these tubular branching hyphae has multiple, genetically identical nuclei and is considered a single organism, referred to as a colony or in more technical terms a mycelium. mould......................... Does anyone have any
experience of getting rid of
mould in an old two bedroomed
house?
I have mould growing/ forming
in the upstairs bedrooms, on
the ceilings, walls and even
on the main bedroom window
frame.
The Tennant has rightly
complained and I would like to

You will need to use a specialist mold killer that will not damage the leather. Em Clean has been specifically tested and is safe to use for leather and suede. This will kill the spores and prevent them from returning. Hope this helps |

How to stop mould from growing I have a safe that is not
opened very often. I have
recently discovered a bunch of
items with green mould on
them.
I understand the mould is
caused by humidity, but what
can I place inside the safe to
reduce the humidity so it says
nice and dry?

Humidity and warmth is what's causing the mold to grow. There's not much you can do about the warmth, but you can control the humidity. To remove moisture from the air, you could use baking soda or silica gel packets. Place and open box of baking soda in the safe. Remember to stir up the powder every now and again. Those little packets that come in shoe boxes contain silica gel. These packets are in there for the same purpose, to absorb moisture and keep the shoe fresh. Go to your local shoe store, and find some empty boxes sitting on the shelves. Snatch a bunch of those packets and take them home. The store won't mind; those things are worthless to them. Stash them in your safe, and it should keep it nice and dry. |
