How does Lester from American Would Lester be an
existentialist before he
decides to leave his job and
do everything he wants, or
after.
I mean, when he goes all wild
and does what he wants to do -
isn't he living in the moment.
Wouldn't this demonstrate
existentialism?

After Lester leaves his job, he begins to live each moment fully. He realizes life is meant to be lived and not in preparation for a future that might not exist. Like in the existentialist philosopher Albert Camus' book "The Stranger," when Mersault lives his life to its fullest in the days leading up to his execution. |

I think Lester's game was the better story and certainly the better achievement. I watched that game live and it was truly incredible to watch. It was a great personal achievement and is a great inspiration for anyone who has to overcome adversity. The reason I like the softball moment is because it was an act of selflessness and sportsmanship. It shows that there are still people out there that put a premium on their personal character and doing the right thing, not just winning. I think that can inspire people to do the right thing and may remind people to have faith in the goodness of others. It was also more a 'moment' than an entire no hitter. I think either could have won and I wouldn't have had a problem with it. |

Where can I see the Richard I'm a little behind the times.
I wanted to see Superman II
online after hearing about its
plot - mainly, the part about
Clark "burning" his hands in
the fireplace. But I can only
find the Richard Donner
version online. It was great,
and I watched two of my
favorite scenes about five
more times before finally
closing the window, but I'd
like to see the Lester version
as well. The problem is, I
can't find it, which I find
odd seeing as how the Lester
version was the original
theatrical release of the
movie. Can anyone point me in
the right direction?
