Is divorce applicable for ajehovah witness and a catholicwho was married in jehovahceremony?
I am a roman catholic and married a jehovah witness on jehovah ceremony. My husband and I have been separated for almost ten years now. I wanted to try my luck the second time. How can I free myself from my previous marriage. I wanted to get married in civil rights. Is there a conflict?
In the past, Jehovah's Witnesses were given permission to marry a non believer in the Kingdom Hall if the non believer was studying with Jehovah's Witnesses with a view to becoming a baptized member. Such is not the case today. Only baptized Jehovah's Witnesses can marry baptized Jehovah's Witnesses in the Kingdom Hall and only with the approval of the body of elders. Both couples have to be in good standing with their respective congregations as well. Therefore, if you were a Catholic at the time you married the Witness in the Kingdom Hall and never became a Witness, you can move forward in your divorce without any ramifications religiously speaking. Even the Catholic Church does not consider this a scripturally binding marriage due to the fact that you, a Catholic, did not marry in the Catholic Church, therefore your marriage is not recognized officially by the Church nor does it have the blessing of the Catholic Church. So, go ahead and get your divorce if that's what you want.
Are the Jehovah Witnesses inAustralia different from theones in America?
Well there were some Jehovah Witnesses i met here and they seem like nice people. But the Americans just seem different for some reason, more extreme. Btw these Jehovah witnesses were Greeks living in Australia. Are there alot of Greek Jehovah Witnesses?
Hi Broncos fan I take it your a Queenslander like me well I've adopted Queensland as my home formally from NSW. We have the same beliefs go through similar trials but have different cultures and personalities I think there may be a Greek congregation of Jehovah's witnesses in Brisbane I know there is one in Melbourne
How important to Jehovah'sWitnesses is the doctrine thatMichael and Jesus are the sameperson?
I see allot of defending of the doctrine about Michael the archangel actually being Jesus Christ in His pre-human existence .How and why is this teaching so important to Jehovah's Witness's an if it is so important why isn't Michael spoken of more frequently with the importance of the teaching.Example The importance of Jesus is frequently taught. And it mentions Him some 896 times in the NT. Why isn't Michael spoken about more then a few times and not mentioned more frequently?
I am thinking this is a confusing mixup. The Jehovah's Witnesses can't and will not believe that Jesus in reality can be Almighty God. On the other hand they sure as 100% believe that Jesus is Michael the Arch Angel and then came down to earth in flesh. Hmmm, so IF they (JW's) could be correct that would definitely wipe out the Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). It would become 4 and not 3 (Father, Son, Mighty Arch Angel, & Holy Spirit). Then again they (JW's) are 100% willingly to believe Jesus of a lesser status but will NOT 100% believe of him as a Almighty God. Knowing of course Jesus could heal, forgive sins, give everlasting life, and many, many, many true factual miracles to thousands of people while on earth. I know it is so very confusing but not enough to lose sleep on. Enjoy your evening in peace.
