Is it okay to put 10w30 or We have an industrial 18'
refridgerated Isuzu truck and
need to perform an oil
change...we have records that
indicate it was 15w30 the last
time...but we wanted to avoid
going to buy more oil when we
already have 10w30...and yet
don't want to damage anything
either.
The truck is not a diesel.
So, nearly any vehicular motor
oil will suffice, but some may
be better suited to my
climate?

Should be just fine. Unless it is a diesel, Diesels require heavier oils. Best of luck to ya. |

How do I know if I should buy Okay, so I am starting a
business, but I need a truck.
The Isuzu I can get has 177K
on it, and the dealer is
asking $9,900. The GVWR is
14,500 and it's an auto
diesel. The truck has no box,
but I am building a specialty
one anyways. Any comments,
thoughts or ideas? How can I
find out the actual value of
this truck? What should I look
for? Thanks.

See NADA.com for value. Most small businesses own this or a similar truck. 177 K is not much on a diesel. Make sure you are licensed to drive such a truck, check state licensing requirements. I would have a mechanic check it over or obtain some type of short term warranty. If you're like me, a rod could be loose in a diesel and I wouldn't hear it. I've commonly gotten 500,000 + miles on a well-maintained diesel before an in frame rebuild. |
