I have been in gymnastics for
about 2 years, for 1 hr. a

the Iron Cross, but it is slow
going practicing once a week.
I would like suggestions for
things I can do at home w/out
rings to help.

The Iron Cross was a medal awarded to Nazi heros in WWII. Why would anyone want to have an award resembling something from that regime? |

David is close. I don't know if anyone really knows how the iron cross started, but the original biker clubs were WWII fighter pilots. So they probably brought them back as suvouniers and ended up using them on thier bikes. The same as the German helmet, leather flight jackets and helmets, pilot goggles, etc etc |

you can find iron crosses from before ww2 like the ones from 1914 WW1 or from as early as 1813. These bear W, FW, a crown or leaves on them. Some places sell replicas. I personally loathe anything with nazi symbols on them. I hate them. So best bet is to stick with a medal from BEFORE 1939. Even if you get the Replacement medals (which don't have the nazi swastika) that Germany issued to its soldiers after the nazi-symbol bearing crosses were confiscated, you'd still be purchasing a medal that rewards nazism...something highly frowned upon in society! |
