How Long did the Invasion of
Poland last in 1939? Where
there specific battles within
the Invasion, or is the
invasion in it self considered
a battle (I saw something on
line called the Battle of
Poland)? Can someone summarize
it briefly for me?

In relation to the 1939 Hey I'm doing some History
homework, and some of another
girl's work I've been given as
an example mentions Switalski
as a Polish leader. My History
teacher's notes say it was
Moscicki.
What is the other paper on
about?
Which is correct?

Kazimierz Switalski was the Prime minister of Poland. Ignacy Mościcki was the president of Poland from 1926-1939. After the Polish Defensive War of 1939 Kazimierz Świtalski was taken POW and taken to Woldenberg camp, where he spent the entire World War II. In 1945 he returned to Poland. He was persecuted and imprisoned by the communist authorities. Rehabilitated after 1956, he died in 1962. So it's more accurate to say that that Mościcki had more involvement during the invasion of Poland. |
