I think it is Imperial Bank. I have seen the bank in my child hood around 1955 at Cuddapah (Kadapa). Just in few years the same banks name board changed to State Bank of India. I am still having a gold loan slip of Imperial Bank. |

In 1809 bank of bengal was formed.The Bank of Bombay was created in 1840, which merged with the Bank of Madras in 1843. Together with the Bank of Bengal, they became known as the "presidency" banks.Later in 1921 these three presidency banks became a centralised banking institution known as the Imperial Bank of India. |
