...Human sexuality is how people experience the erotic and express themselves as sexual beings.Rathus, Spencer A., Jeffrey S. Nevid, and Lois Fichner-Rathus. 2007. Human Sexuality in a World of Diversity. Allyn & Bacon. Frequently driven by the desire for sexual pleasure, human sexuality has biological, physical and emotional aspects. Biologically, it refers to the reproductive mechanism as well as the basic biological drive that exists in all species and can encompass sexual intercourse and sexual contact in all its forms. Emotional aspects deal with the intense emotions relating to sexual acts and associated social bonds. Physical issues around sexuality range from purely medical considerations to concerns about the physiological or even psychological and sociological aspects of sexual behaviour. Read full entry

Human sexuality?
I stress this is completely
hypothetical. It is not about
relationships and is totally
severed from reality. This is
simply about human sexuality
and the notions of gender and
genitalia.
You have to have sex with one
of these two individuals.
Which one do you chose and
why?
Individual 1.
A man. He's big, strong, he is
your perfect ideal of man. He
has a generic male
personality. The only
difference is - he has a
vagina. A perfectly
functioning vagina.
Individual 2.
A woman. She's pretty, she's
svelte, she is your perfect
visage of woman. She has a
generic female personality.
The catch is, she has
perfectly functioning male
genitalia.
You have to chose one, but
which?
With this question I want to
see whether your ideas of
male/female are dictated by
genitalia alone or by outward
appearance/personality and how
you relate to this sexually.
*It is critical to mention
your gender and sexuality when
answering as this is will
provide extra insight.*

I am a female psychologist..... I think of myself as mainly heterosexual (with some lesbian fantasies) I know Freud said we are all potentially bisexual and I like this question. I would pick the chick with the dick. Why? Because I am bi-curious and the situation you suggest would force me to try. . . . Also, the reason I identify as hetero is that I know I would miss penetration from the real thing (though I'm fairly sure I would prefer if it was joined on to a healthy, intelligent, sensitive man) Thanks for the question! |

What are some hot topics in I need to write a paper that
can have anything to do with
human sexuality. What are some
good topics? I need to
reference academic sources.

I think a good topic to research is that supposedly women's sexuality is more fluid than men's. Meaning, that there are a lot of women bisexuals, but very few men bisexuals. So the difference in sexuality between men and women is interesting. |

Where can I study human I want to study human
sexuality and relationships,
and am most interested in the
more "spiritual" side of it.
Is there some accredited
program I could participate
in? Most colleges offer human
sexuality programs at a
masters or doctoral level, but
I am still working on my
undergraduate. I'm also open
to other avenues of learning,
but would like them to be
credible and recognized in the
spiritual community. Any
information helps. Thanks!
