Go to web sites for the places you want to stay and look for specials. Also register for them to send you email specials. I like the Orleans for good cheap room. Its off strip but has a great shuttle. Vegas Club downtown is also good. Also many places dont let you check in on Saturday (March 4-6). |

Tips for special night @ I am planning a surprise
romantic night at the Venetian
this weekend for my girlfriend
and I. I have never stayed
there before nor have I stayed
in such a nice hotel before
either.
I am wondering what requests I
could put in to the hotel now
and during our stay to make
things even fancier/more
special. I don't have a big
budget so I am looking for
things that might be free or
wouldn't cost me too much
more.
Any ideas on what I could do?
Flowers & card in the room is
about my only idea.

The Venetian Hotel is actually my favorite hotel, and I gotta say the nicest one in vegas. That said, it is also one of the pricier hotels. I think a card and flowers is already making the trip very nice - a gondola ride would certainly be romantic too (and would only set you back about $30-40 total, depending on when you went). In addition to this, you can your special someone to one of the many nice restaurants they have there - and if you dont have a huge budget, the Grand Lux Cafe is a very nice restaurant with complete menu and not too expensive of prices. At check-in, talk to the person at the front desk and see if you can muster up a deal with the person, usually if you are nice and say that its your first time to vegas and are on your honeymoon they will upgrade your room with a better view, and for just a little more money even upgrade you to a jaccuzi suite. The Venetian also has flower, chocolate, and champagne service if you want to impress her while at the room - their chocolate and desert service is the best I've ever had. Finally, you can take her to TAO, a VERY nice club at the Venetian, and if you're up for it - a full bar and great dance floor. Be aware that guys pretty much have to pay a $30 cover, but its very easy to get your GF in for free (in fact there are flyers all around for ladies in free before 11pm). You'll find this club to be very nice, trendy, and dimly lit. Have fun and hope you have fun with your gf at such a nice hotel. Hope this helps. |
