Which is an easy way to go I want to go to Florence from
Graz by train, because flying
is too expensive.

There are no direct trains from Graz to Florence, but there is an option with only one train change. There's a train at 8:26 pm that you can catch to Bruck/Mur arriving there at 9:01 pm. There's a night train leaving from there at 9:25 pm that arrives in Florence at 6:18 the next morning. You could also take the train From Graz to Leoben and catch the same night train to Florence from there at 9:40 pm. The normal price from Bruck an der Mur to Florence is 89 euro for a berth in a 6 bed cuchette. If you book early enough to get the discounted "smart" fare, it will cost 49 euro for the same berth. It's ten euro more for a berth in a 4 bed compartment. I've used this night train on occasion although I don't start from Graz. It's a good way to get to Florence - much of your travel time is when you'd be sleeping anyway. |
