Questions/Answers
My daughter has to reconstructthe Goliad mission. What arethe best materials to use?
The base can be no larger than a 12x12. Has anyone ever built a mission before (the Alamo, perhaps)? I am wondering if I should use clay and make it look like stone? I am open to suggestions! Thank you!
Caliche is good to use. Or mix some plaster of paris. It sets up fast and is easy to work. Which mission are you talking about? The church or the Presidio? One is huge. The other is just a church.
Who decided to return histroops to Goliad because oneof his wagons broke down?
at the battle of the Alimo.
Colonel James Walker Fannin.
Why was the Texans' capture ofGoliad important?
"The most important results of this capture were the acquisition of military stores to the value of ten thousand dollars, some pieces of artillery, and three hundred stand of arms, all of which were greatly needed; also the interruption of the communication between the Mexicans at Bexar and the gulf, which the latter were never afterward able to restore. Santa Anna, in subsequently attempting it at Anahuac, lost his army and his liberty. "
