Hi, im need to write a persuasive essay to persuade people that animal fur trade is so wrong as humans seems so cruel towards them just for their fur. And of course, i need some counter-arguments and arguments. I'm just so against animal fur trade that I cant even come up with any. Any ideas? Many Thanks!
I wish you luck on this one. It is going to be really hard to come up with any arguments FOR the fur trade in this world where we have so many options of materials and fibers that can keep you warmer than the thickest furs in the coldest of climates. If we ate the fur animals or used their flesh for anything then perhaps.... but they have yet to send any meat even to the people of third world countries where even the meat of a carnivore would be welcome over starvation. The only thing that I can offer you is one more argument against. Even if we NEEDED furs to keep us warm. Even if it were needed to sustain life in some way... Why is it so nessisary for it to be gathered in the cruelest ways possible? Would it really cripple the fur industry to pay out the extra expense to gas the animals with a non-choking gas like Isoflorine and then inject them with with euthasol instead of beating, clubbing, electrocution, cutting and bleading out or skinning alive of these animals. They say that God gave us dominion over the animals... but he also gave us common sense. The way things are done, especially in the fur trade, makes no sense to me. Good luck on your paper. ~Tyed~

I'm no animal rights protester, I'm just a normal guy who stumbled over some websites showing footage online of hundereds of domestic dogs and cats being skinned alive. What are your thoughts about the Fur trade in China? I think their government should put a stop to it immediately. I think fur farming should secondly be banned.
What a sad thing! I feel sorry for any animal being abused to death. That is not humane in anyway. Well China has human rights issues as well- so why not animals too. They limit a family to only two children- Singapore its only one per family. [Chinese law 2 yrs ago limit a family to only one small dog or cat, so many animals are starving, diseased and dieing in the streets now] did you know that one? I was raised on a farm and we are hunters/fishermen. I love wearing fur and eating meat. The sport of a hunt is stupid- the use of it for food is okay! A true hunter- aims to kill clean- that is fast. I however hate "waste" and "suffering" of any animal or humans for any reason. The leather we wear and most products we use are animal or produced from some type of animal. so we the humans need to be aware that these living beings need to be honored for giving their lives for us.
