Is the Food and Drug They say its okay to eat dead
cochlear beatles (in red food
color), it okay to eat toxic
preservatives and chemicals,
its okay to consume steroids,
antibiotics, and growth
hormones in meats and
commercial milk, its okay to
have a certain percentage of
rat hairs in peanut butter,
its okay to genetically modify
foods with scorpion poison to
control pests,its okay to
approve medicines that are
known to contain harmful and
potentially dangerous
chemicals, and now, its okay
to eat cloned meat?
I was just on their website
and am stunned at some of the
things they say are perfectly
fine to consume-it defies
common sense

To find out who is behind the movement to legalize cloned meat, all that needs to be done is follow the money trail. The FDA's draft risk assessment relies heavily on the work of animal-cloning companies Cyagra and ViaGen. More than a quarter of the 700-page draft consists of data from these two companies. While on the surface the draft addresses some public safety issues, commercial interests largely inform the substance of the draft. Polls have shown that the majority of the public does not want cloned meat, and certainly wants it to be labeled if it is available. The FDA has stated that it cannot require labeling. The FDA's recent approval of cloned meat and milk for sale in America's grocery stores after more than three years had a great deal to do with the agency relying far too much on companies that will profit from the move, such as ViaGen and Cyagra. Additionally to the more than 170 pages of the draft supplied directly by the companies, the work of a pair of scientists either currently or formerly employed by Cyagra was cited liberally throughout it. And, of course, the government and conventional science will justify cloning animals for all the very debatable good it can do to rid the world of hunger or to discover new and often unnecessary and useless toxic drugs. However noble these objectives may sound, Americans certainly aren't fooled by the tainting of our food supply with cloned meats. More reason than ever for you to seek out local sources for your vegetables and meats. |

true...but that is not the
mission of the FDA to be in
cohoots with them. the mission
as you may not know is to
serve the public by protecting
food and drug supply. Do you

Do people realize that the helps food and drug
manufacturers and is not in
the business of protecting the
public? First, the food
manufacturers are allowed to
sell us unhealthy food
packaged and labeled in such a
way we are made to believe it
is healthy.the the
pharmaceutical companies sell
us drugs to that are supposed
to return us to health, but do
not.
they want to keep us sick so
that we keep spending our
money their way. this is also
a strong consideration when
they warn us against natural
cures. If we don't buy from
them, they lose money!

When I first saw your question, I clicked on it to ask if you were an idiot, until I read your description below your question! Yes, you are right. Do you know how right you are? Do you know that the FDA makes the laws that it enforces? The FDA is a gov't agency that regulates the licensing of prescription drugs for companies that are owned in large part by gov't officials! The pharmaceutical industry is THE MOST POWERFUL INDUSTRY IN THE WORLD! It far exceeds even the oil industry! So, these gov't officials that own large amounts of stock in these pharmaceutical companies have their own branch of gov't officials that regulate their own industry, make the laws that pertain to that industry, and enforce those laws! When they approve a drug, it is an automatic billion dollars for the drug company that makes that drug! Talk about organized crime! This has been going on long before Bush took office, too - for all you liberal jelly- brains that want to blame THAT on Bush! Now you can understand a little bit why so many drugs that the FDA approved in the first place are being recalled. People are DYING from their evil, money hungry ways! Then when any natural remedy comes out, it is ridiculed, and forbidden to state that it is even a remedy for anything! Because the FDA passed a law that states that only a DRUG can cure or prevent any disease! How's THAT for corruption? Fat people? They are no longer fat, that is now a disease called obesity! Only a drug can cure that! People used to get heartburn, or acid indigestion. Not any more! The doctors that get paid BIG BUCKS by the drug companies to prescribe you drugs have now given that the name 'Acid reflux Syndrome'. That is now a disease! Only a drug can cure or prevent a disease! Add to it the fact that most people carry insurance, which gets billed without our even knowing what all they DO get billed for, and you start to see how it is just a vicious circle, designed to make money for the ones inside of it, and they could care less about your health!
