Are there any scholars of I currently reside in Winter
Park, Florida. I am studying
Celtic culture, stories,
spirituality. I am a
pedestrian, but I would love
to speak with someone in the
area who knows of these
things. My general internet
searches have led me to dead
links and cancelled numbers.
Druidism in particular
interests me. Anyone who
studies or practices and would
like to speak or exchange
emails is most appreciated.
Thanks and blessings.
Let me clarify about my
request. I'm actually looking
for someone in the Orlando,
Florida area to speak with, in
person, about Druidism and the
history of Celtic
spirituality. I am not looking
to discuss or debate the
history in this forum. I'm
just looking for someone to
talk who has a deeper
background in this area than I
do. Thank you for all the kind
responses, but please limit
further answers to information
about someone to speak with.
If you are not in the florida
area, but would like to
exchange emails on this
subject, please leave an
answer here that I may contact
you, or feel free to email me
directly.

Do you practice Do you practice a folk
religion? Why did you chose
this belief system and how
does it impact your life?
@harpertera, yes, that is what
I meant. A religion practiced
by a group of people before an
outside influence came along,
like celtic spiritualism,
Native American spiritualism,
African religions, etc. Thanks
for your contribution.
As an interesting point, Maman
Brigitte of the Hatian vodou
religion was originally Brigid
of the celtic tradition, but
the vodousiants who were
indentured servants in the
celtic region of the world
incorporated her into vodou.

I'm not sure what you mean by the question. I practice Celtic spirituality, the same type of belief system and way of life practiced by the Celts before the coming of Christianity. As such I pay a lot of attention to the changing of the seasons and I honor Brigid as the Mother Goddess and Cernonous (god of the forest and its creatures) as her consort. |

Religious folk, why is YOUR that seems to be the way most
religious folk view their own
religion, and it doesn't
matter which religion you are,
your still out numbered by all
the others combined so it
can't be a numbers thing, ask
yourself before answering me
;-)

That's a fairly good question. But you still won't get any satisfactory answers from other people. You will have to search for the truth yourself. And how you do that is quite simple but rather time consuming and at some point you might even find it tedious. Nonetheless you're the one who's gonna have to figure out on your own. Just study all the religions and their pros and cons. Which ever religion you find more practical, sensible and detailed regardless of their laws. You'll have your answer. By the way you'll have to be exceptionally intelligent to know which one. So my friend the answer to your question, from me, is not simple. However, yes, there is only one true religion. And that's for me to know and you to find out. Good luck in your search, should you decide to do any. |
