They are very quiet -- they believe "Silence is Golden". Nokia phones come from Finland. For more, check the CIA world fact book https://www.cia.gov/library/pu blications/the-world-factbook/ And Google "Finland Customs". A fun one is the Finnish Crayfish Party! http://www.saunalahti.fi/~mari an1/gourmet/season7a.htm |

What is the legal age in This summer I'm planning on
going to europe. I know most
of the drinking ages there,
but I have discovered that
there is no legal drinking age
in finland, just a purchase
age. In that case, if a person
is 17, will she or he be able
to get into the clubs and/or
bars?

It's illegal in Finland for you to allow an under 18-year-old to buy any kind of alcohol, and it's illegal for you to sell to/buy for an under 18-year-old. At eighteen, you can buy yourself drinks containing up to 22% alcohol, and at 20 you can buy anything you like. http://alko.fi/en/123804901E57 A684C22572B2002CBD9A?opendocum ent&src=7,6&expand=5 Depending on the pub, the age limit is somewhere between 18 and 22. Under 18-year-olds can enter some pubs between certain daytime hours, as far as I remember. Don't take this for gospel - it might have changed to disallow minors from pubs altogether. |
